Entry is open to Australian residents who are enrolled in the FFA Small Sided Football program.
A person who is over 18 years and the parent or guardian of a child being nominated for the Lucas Neill Award, Most Promising Player Award and Team of the Year Award. For all other categories you must be over 18 years.
Entry is free.
Getting started is easy. Just pick your favourite or most deserving Optus Small Sided Football player, team or coach and nominate them for the appropriate award. You can even nominate yourself!
Have your entry ready before 31 August 2011. You will need 250 words and a video or photo to support your entry. Visit www.optus.com.au/football and complete the online registration form and upload your entry. Each entry requires a unique video or photograph and you must have the subject(s) permission.
A confirmation of your submission will be sent automatically to the email address you provided. If you do not receive this notification (check the email address and phone number you provided), you may not have fulfilled all the instructions required to submit successfully. Resubmit your entry and ensure you follow all the instructions provided.
Your entry should be live onto the website within 30 mins. Allow up to 4 hours for your entry to be uploaded onto the Gallery, if the entry still isn't live contact tech support on or call 1300 655 622.
Valid entries for the Team Award will be voted for by users on the site by viewing their entry within the Gallery and clicking the 'Vote' button. The team entry with the most votes will be short listed and the judging panel will select a winning Team from the shortlist. The winner of the Optus Small Sided Football Team Award will get a much needed $10,000 to go towards new equipment and training. So let all your friends know to go to the online gallery and vote for your entry.
You can submit more than one entry. However, each submission must be submitted separately. Remember though, an Optus Small Sided Football team can only be nominated once and then it's the votes that count.
The Optus Small Sided Football Awards exists to promote and support Australian grassroots football. The partnership is helping to foster the next generation of Australian football stars.
Optus have the non-exclusive right to the material submitted by you on the website for use in the promotion of Optus Football events and future promotions.
