The Lucas Neill Leadership award is for a young player who's shown not only skill on the pitch, but demonstrated ability to push the squad and lead from the front.
They don't have to be the best player. Far from it. We're looking for someone who always tries their best.
Someone who's always willing to learn new skills and helps other players to be their best. The chosen player gets a signed jersey, and a training session with Lucas Neill for them and their team. Not bad.
The Most Promising Player award recognises a player who loves the game, but understands that attitude is every bit as important as skill.
We're after someone who respects the ref, team, but more importantly, someone who respects the opposition. Again, this player may not score every week. They might let in a goal or two. But if they can pick themselves and their team back up, that's who we're after.
The chosen player gets a signed jersey, and a training session for them and their team.
The Optus Small Sided Football team award recognises a truly great team. They don't all have to be the best players in the league, we're looking for a team that shows great teamwork, a love of the game and a good attitude. We're after a bunch of kids who just dig playing football together. Win or lose, it's about enjoying the game that counts.
The chosen team will get a much needed $10,000 to go towards new equipment and training. The first 200 entries received in the Optus Small Sided Football Team of the Year Award will receive a Small Sided Football equipment pack including –
1x Small Sided Football pop-up goal set and carry bag
25x Small Sided Football disc cones and stand
12x Small Sided Football training bibs (sizes are not negotiable and will be decided by the manufacturer)
4x Size 3 footballs

The Optus Small Sided Football coach of the year award is there to recognise a really top coach. We're not looking for the coach who knows the most but a motivator, someone who inspires the team to do the best they can regardless of how good they are.
The chosen coach will get a training session for them and their team with a top coach and team. What an amazing opportunity.
