Since its inaugural season in 2005, the Hyundai A-league has gone from strength to strength as the premier football league in Australia.
The 2010-11 season was highlighted by the Brisbane Roar and Central Coast Mariners rivalry, culminating in them meeting in the grand final and Brisbane Roar winning. The 2011 -12 has kicked off with 10 teams playing this season.
